Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with OracleMart in just 5 minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
- ✅ A Web3 wallet (MetaMask, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, etc.)
- ✅ Some ETH for gas fees (on Sepolia testnet for now)
- ✅ ORMT tokens if you want to create markets (2000 ORMT required)
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
- Visit oraclemart.io
- Click "Connect Wallet" in the top right
- Select your wallet provider
- Approve the connection request

Chain ID: 11155111Step 2: Get Test ETH
For testnet usage, you'll need Sepolia ETH:

Visit a Sepolia faucet:

Enter your wallet address

Request test ETH (usually 0.5 ETH per day)
Step 3: Browse Markets
- Click "Markets" in the navigation
- Browse available prediction markets
- Use filters to find markets by:
- State: Active, Ended, Resolved
- Category: Crypto, Sports, Weather, Politics
- Sort: Volume, Created, Ending Soon
Step 4: Place Your First Bet

Click on a market that interests you

Review the market details:
- Question and description
- Current odds
- Potential returns
- Time remaining

Choose your outcome (YES or NO)

Enter your bet amount

Review the calculated potential winnings

- Go to "Dashboard"
- View your active bets
- Monitor your P&L in real-time
- See your betting history
Step 6: Claim Your Winnings
When a market resolves in your favor:
- Go to "Dashboard"
- Find the resolved market
- Click "Claim Winnings"
- Confirm the transaction
- Your winnings will be sent to your wallet!
Creating a Market (Optional)
Want to create your own market?
Requirements
- 2000 ORMT tokens (will be burned)
- 0.01 ETH minimum initial liquidity
Steps
- Get ORMT tokens from [DEX]
- Click "Create Market"
- Fill out the form:
- Question (yes/no format)
- Description
- Category
- Duration
- Resolution type
- Approve ORMT burn
- Confirm market creation
- Your market is now live!

Understanding the Interface
Market Card
Each market shows:
- Question: The prediction being made
- Pool Size: Total ETH wagered
- Odds: Current YES/NO percentages
- Time: Remaining time to bet
- Participants: Number of unique bettors
Dashboard
Your personal hub showing:
- Active Bets: Current positions
- Total Wagered: Amount you've bet
- P&L: Profit and loss
- Win Rate: Success percentage
- Pending Claims: Winnings ready to claim
Leaderboard
See top traders ranked by:
- Total profit
- Win rate
- Volume traded
- ROI

Common Questions
How are odds calculated?
Odds are based on the ratio of YES to NO pool:
YES Odds = YES Pool / Total Pool * 100
NO Odds = NO Pool / Total Pool * 100When can I claim winnings?
After the market is resolved and the winning outcome is determined. Most oracle markets resolve automatically.
What happens if I bet on the losing side?
Your bet amount goes to the winning pool. You won't lose more than your initial bet.
Can I cancel a bet?
No, all bets are final once placed. Make sure you're confident before confirming!
How are markets resolved?
Markets can be resolved via:
- Oracle: Automatic using Chainlink/UMA
- Manual: Commit-reveal by authorized resolvers
- VRF: Provably random for certain markets
